  1. Tsoku Maela

Tsoku Maela was born and raised in Limpopo, and is currently based in Cape Town. A writer and photographer, he has been fascinated since childhood by the art of story-telling.

‘Broken Things’ follows the story of two characters who learn to ultimately fall in love with their own and each other’s flaws. A story that reflects an internal outlook on beauty in its broad strokes.

Watch the behind-the-scenes video below.

“The greatest form of acceptance is self-acceptance. But it’s not out there, somewhere, waiting to be found. It’s right here where you stand, and wherever you will go, as it always begins and ends with us. Self-love is not to instinctively conceal and impulsively improve on our flaws, but to first understand them as fragments of a bigger puzzle…and a part of us.” - Maela
